Southeast Texas Native Virginia Carruth enjoys living and painting in the
beautiful Texas Hill Country. After earning a degree in art education she
taught art at the high school level for a number of years. Now she devotes
her time to painting, teaching and continuing her education by attending
workshops with leading artists (Tom Lynch, Bob Rohm, Doug Dawson,
Scott Christensen, Susan Ogilvie, Ron Rencher) in various media.
Virginia's work has been accepted in numerous local and national juried
exhibitions and has won a number of awards. Her pastel landscape
Autumn appeared in the "Best of Pastels" article of the Nov. 2000 issue
of The Artist's Magazine. Her paintings can be found in private collections
nationally and internationally.
